Wanaque is a Great place to raise a family! The Borough of Wanaque, located in Passaic County has a population of 10,266 according to the 2000 census. With the addition of the Wanaque Reserve the population is now closer to 11,000. The Borough’s total land area is 7.98 square miles. There is an additional 1.23 square miles of water in the Borough. Press Release - Thursday March 11, 2010 The Wanaque Police Department collects supplies for the children of Afghanistan The Wanaque Police Department's Capt. Ken Fackina will be collecting school supplies and children's clothing for a US Marine group who is restoring Now Zed, a town in Afghanistan. The Marines have requested these items instead of stuff for themselves. Ya gotta love em!! If you would like to donate anything please drop it off at the Police Department and tell them its for Capt. Fackina. Thank you. The first shipment has arrived in Afghanistan. Below is a photo that was sent in. You can still donate.
